It’s the final week to get your applications into the Stampede Royalty and Indian Princess competitions; deadline for both is Friday, August 27. Also, make sure to catch the UFC 118 pay-per-view in the Big Sky Showroom at the Stampede Casino on Saturday, August 28!

  • Indian Princess Competition: Are you the next Calgary Stampede Indian Princess? The Calgary Stampede is currently accepting applications for the 2011 Indian Princess Pageant – this invitation is extended to all eligible Treaty 7 First Nation females. Entries will close Friday, August 27, 2010. For details, please contact .
  • 2011 Stampede Royalty Competition: Ever dreamed of being Stampede Royalty? We’re looking for three young women who are proud of Canada’s western heritage, confident equestrians, and want to share their love of the Stampede with the world! Open to the public, each year, three young women between the ages of 19 and 24 are chosen to represent the Calgary Stampede as the official Stampede Royalty. For more information on how to apply, see the Stampede Royalty website. Application deadline is Friday, August 27, 2010.
  • Stampede Casino: The Stampede Casino is now a part of the Stampede Family! Open all year-round and featuring all your favourite slots, tables, a 24 hour poker room, as well as fine dining and special events throughout the year, there’s always something going on down here, so why not drop by for a visit? For example, catch UFC 118 in the Big Sky Showroom on Saturday, August 28 at 8.pm. Tickets are $10 at the door, and includes access to three huge screens and a snack buffet. Don’t miss the Lightweight Championship of Edgar vs. Penn 2 and the Heavyweight Showdown of Couture vs. Toney!
