Concerts are the name of the game this week as Michael Bublé and the Black Eyed Peas highlight the week ahead at Stampede Park. Plus, there’s still time to get your entries into the Stampede Royalty and Indian Princess competitions; the deadline for both is Friday, August 27.

- Michael Bublé: Juno and Grammy-award winning Michael Bublé will be visiting Calgary as part of his Crazy Love tour promoting his new Crazy Love CD, along with special guests Naturally 7. “I’m an entertainer. It’s what I live for. I can’t wait to get back on tour. The show will be bombastic, cinematic and at the same time a very intimate experience. And besides, I can’t wait to see my fans, I’ve missed them,” said Bublé about returning to performing. Come and see his fresh and unique take on music as he sings of love and other things August 17 and 18 at the Pengrowth Saddledome. Both shows start at 8 p.m. and tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
- Black Eyed Peas: American hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas will be coming to Calgary as part of The E.N.D. World Tour in support of their new CD The E.N.D. “The E.N.D. World Tour 2010″ has been described as “pop’s latest sci-fi spectacle” by the New York Times, while US Magazine raved that the tour is a “futuristic bash full of unstoppable hits, high-energy fun and some killer solo interludes….” Come and see what all the hype is about Sunday, August 22 at the Pengrowth Saddledome. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
- Indian Princess Competition: Are you the next Calgary Stampede Indian Princess? The Calgary Stampede is currently accepting applications for the 2011 Indian Princess Pageant – this invitation is extended to all eligible Treaty 7 First Nation females. - 2011 Stampede Royalty Competition: Ever dreamed of being Stampede Royalty? We’re looking for three young women who are proud of Canada’s western heritage, confident equestrians, and want to share their love of the Stampede with the world! Open to the public, each year, three young women between the ages of 19 and 24 are chosen to represent the Calgary Stampede as the official Stampede Royalty.
