Dinosaurs have overridden Stampede Park! Well, not really, but this week features dinosaurs roaming the Pengrowth Saddledome and the first-ever Bubbapalooza in Canada in its largest venue yet. - Tales from the Roadshow: Have You Had it Long, Madam? Tales from the Roadshow is a unique stage show about BBC TV’s highly successful and long-time running series, the Antique Roadshow, presented by two of its most popular experts, Hilary Kay and Paul Attenbury. Hilary and Paul take theatre audiences on an irreverent, but affectionate, tour through life on the filming circuit. - Bubbapalooza: It’s Bubba the Love Sponge’s first Canadian ‘Bubbapalooza’ at its largest-ever venue! Presented and hosted by syndicated and satellite radio star Bubba the Love Sponge, the show fulfills the top-ranked show host’s promise to bring Bubbapalooza to Calgary as thanks for its listeners’ support of his popular radio program, which is broadcast live from Tampa, Florida. Featuring the show’s hosts and regular characters performing parodies, rants, stunts, stand-up and spoken word segments, Bubbpalooza will be happening on Saturday, August 14 at 8 p.m. at the Stampede Corral. - 2011 Stampede Royalty Contest: Ever dreamed of being Stampede Royalty? We’re looking for three young women who are proud of Canada’s western heritage, confident equestrians, and want to share their love of the Stampede with the world! Open to the public, each year, three young women between the ages of 19 and 24 are chosen to represent the Calgary Stampede as the official Stampede Royalty.
