What’s Happening on Stampede Park: March 8 – 14

The 2010 Calgary International Auto Show and CKOC All Breed Show highlight the week ahead at Stampede Park. Details on these events and more, after the jump.

  • The 2010 Calgary International Auto Show is one of the largest exhibitions of new cars and trucks in Western Canada. This 30th annual show will feature the absolute latest in automotive technology, as manufacturers unveil stunning new designs and revolutionary technology, leading a renewed worldwide auto industry into a new era. The show runs March 10-14, 2010, at the Stampede Corral and BMO Centre. Find your tickets and times for the show here.
  • Vehicles and Violins is one of Calgary’s most celebrated charitable galas of year. On Tuesday, March 9, BMO Centre Stampede Park, the Calgary Motor Dealers Association will stage its 11th Annual Vehicles and Violins Gala in support of Alberta Cancer Foundation and ALIS Society of Alberta. Since its inception in the year 2000, the Vehicles and Violins Gala has raised almost $2,000,000 for charity. Guests attending the will enjoy exclusive entertainment with musicians of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as delectable international cuisine, a selection of fine wines and an exclusive preview of the 2010 Calgary International Auto and Truck Show.   • The NHL’s Calgary Flames play once this week at the Pengrowth Saddledome. Come watch our boys take on the Ottawa Senators on Thursday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m. Get your tickets for the game here.
  • The WHL’s Calgary Hitmen play twice this week at the Saddledome. Come down for some exciting action as they play the Edmonton Oil Kings Friday, March 12 at 7 p.m. and the Red Deer Rebels on Sunday, March 14 at 2 p.m. Tickets? Get them and more here.
  • The CKOC All Breed Dog Show Bring the family and come see the dogs play at the dog show! More than 800 canines and their human companions will be competing over three days in a variety of dog sports; obedience, rally o, and the illustrious “Best in Show”.   • And lastly, the Calgary NLL Roughnecks play the Washington Stealth on Saturday March 12 at 7:30 p.m. Find all your ticket information here.
